Electrical Muscle Stimulation-EMS

By applying tiny electrical pulses to specific areas of your body controls pain, increases blood and lymphatic circulation, reduces muscle spasm, relaxes or stimulates the nervous system and aids in the healing process.

Acupressure

Acupressure is a healing art that involves applying pressure to specific points on your body to produce health-promoting effects. Applying direct pressure to specific nerves throughout your body on a regular basis is a simple and powerfully effective way to stimulate your nerves and bring them optimal blood flow, which in turn, promotes good overall health.

Ice Treatment

Ice treatment is most commonly used for acute injuries. If you have a recent injury or an old chronic injury (within the last 48 hours) where swelling is a problem, you should be using ice treatment.

Ice packs are used to lower the temperature of the soft tissues directly below the surface of the skin. Ice packs applied to the surface of the skin constricts the blood vessels below the surface to reduce swelling, inflammation and pain.

Hot Treatment

Heat is generally used for chronic injuries. Sore, stiff, nagging muscle, or joint pain is ideal for the use of heat therapy.

Heat applied to the surface of the skin enlarges blood vessels below the surface, relaxing tissues and can temporarily relieve painful symptoms and muscle tightness. Increasing circulation and relaxing muscles in spasm is helpful before or after chiropractic adjustments, and other treatments.

Using heat to calm tissues suffering from long term spasm or irritation is an effective way to increase flexibility, range of motion, and promote increased circulation to speed the healing process.

Can chiropractic cure a child's ear infections?
Chiropractic isn't a cure for anything. Nor is it a treatment for ear infections. However, many children who suffer with ear infections also suffer from spinal problems in their neck, compromising nerves to the ear, depressing the immune system and preventing proper drainage. Can chiropractic help? Find out!
Why do so many drugs require a prescription?
Because they can be dangerous? I chose a chiropractic career specifically because it avoids artificial means of pain relief. Our Valencia chiropractic practice attracts health-conscious families that prefer a safe and natural solution. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
